Pájara Town Council, through its Department of Culture, headed by Raquel Acosta, together with the Asociación de Artesanos Creativos de Fuerteventura (Fuerteventura Association of Creative Artisans) and the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, is launching a new leatherwork workshop.
The head of the department, Raquel Acosta, invites residents to take part in this initiative, which aims to showcase the techniques used to work leather and fine hides to make accessories and other items.
Mayor Alejandro Jorge praised this type of activity for encouraging people to learn new techniques and disciplines, in collaboration with the island’s professional artisans and the Faro de Jandía association.
