The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through its Craft Trades Service, has opened the September application period for the artisan card (carné de artesano y artesana). Those interested can complete the process up until 30 September.
Both the President of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Lola García, and the Councillor for Craft Trades, Lolina Negrín, are encouraging interested parties to take part in this process, which helps to recognise and promote craft activity in Fuerteventura.
According to Negrín, “it is important for Fuerteventura’s artisans to take part in this call, with the aim of continuing to preserve and promote our rich craft tradition, as well as the creativity and skill that characterise our Island’s craft community.”
Documentation and information can be obtained from the Cabildo de Fuerteventura’s Craft Trades Service on Calle Juan Domínguez Peña in Puerto del Rosario, by calling 928 53 31 43, at the Cabildo de Fuerteventura’s Citizen Service Offices (OAC) in Puerto del Rosario, Morro Jable, Corralejo and Gran Tarajal, or via the official Cabildo de Fuerteventura Craft Trades website, www.artesaniafuerteventura.com, or the Cabildo Insular de Fuerteventura website, www.cabildofuer.es. Office hours for public enquiries are Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 2.00pm.
Applications for the artisan card should be submitted to the General Register of the Cabildo Insular de Fuerteventura, to the Auxiliary Registers at the Citizen Service Offices listed above, or online via the Cabildo de Fuerteventura’s electronic headquarters at www.cabildofuer.es.
