Mayor Juan Cabrera and the area’s head, Sofía Alves, praise the involvement of the municipality’s young people and announce plenty of surprises for this autumn and next year.
The Mayor of Antigua, Juan Cabrera, and the Councillor for Youth, Sofía Alves, have given a very positive assessment of the summer programme Verano en Marcha, which included a range of excursions to suit all tastes.
“I believe it has been a fun and unforgettable summer for our young people, and we want to keep investing in them because they are the future of our municipality. We will continue working along these lines, and even improve on it, if we remain in government,” says Juan Cabrera.
For her part, the Councillor for Youth, Sofía Alves, highlights the visit to Siam Park, the boat trip around Corralejo, the paintball experience, the inflatables in Caleta de Fuste, karting, and the fun day out at Acuapark Corralejo.
“We have plenty of surprises in store for this autumn and for next year,” says Alves. The councillor also took the opportunity to invite everyone to the Juventigua programme meetings, to be held on 23 September in Caleta and on 25 September in Antigua.
The mayor also wished to thank young people for their strong participation in everything organised by the department. “Every excursion reflects exemplary behaviour, camaraderie and cooperation with Antigua Town Council’s Youth Department, both in offering ideas and in attending all the events,” concludes Juan Cabrera.
