The much-anticipated Noche Blanca in Antigua proved a huge success in terms of turnout, entertainment and creativity. It was a day of dancing, sport, music and plenty of fun for families and visitors of all ages.

Mayor Juan Cabrera gave a very positive assessment of the event, and took the opportunity to congratulate Antigua Town Council’s Department of Culture and Sport for the initiative, as well as the organisers.
“The festive, sporting atmosphere was wonderful — the square filled with families enjoying games, dance performances, acrobatics, stilt-walkers, food and great spirits. Noche Blanca featured a lively afternoon programme of workshops and displays of tango, salsa and bachata, along with a concert by Gran Diosas,” said the Councillor for Culture, Agustín Rodríguez. Meanwhile, Deputy Mayor Joana Verde highlighted the festive atmosphere created on Saturday afternoon, which brought a social, cultural and commercial buzz to the town.
For his part, the Councillor for Sport, Alejandro García, stressed the record number of entries and runners in the 10th Noche Blanca Mile, with 250 athletes taking part. “We must thank the Fuerteventura Island Athletics Federation (Federación Insular de Atletismo de Fuerteventura), whose work ensures everything runs perfectly, spreading a love of sport alongside a festive atmosphere built on camaraderie and family support,” said the Councillor for Sport. Agustín Rodríguez also wished to thank the entire Noche Blanca technical team for their work.
Juan Cabrera concluded that the people of Antigua always respond, come alive and enjoy themselves, warmly welcoming the many visitors who travelled from across Fuerteventura to take part in this great event.
