The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through its Department of New Technologies, is organising a new edition of the Tech Breakfasts, this time focusing on ‘Talent management in the digital age’. The event will take place on Thursday, 1 October, from 9.30am, at the Palacio de Formación y Congresos de Fuerteventura.
The event offers a chance to reflect on one of the main challenges currently facing businesses: how to attract, develop and retain talent in a context shaped by digitalisation, artificial intelligence, automation and new working models.
The programme will bring together professionals from various fields to address issues such as new forms of leadership, strategies for attracting talent, the digital skills demanded by the labour market, and the link between training and business. It will also examine what companies are currently looking for and what employees expect from the new professional environment.
The Councillor for New Technologies, Carmen Alonso, stresses that “digital transformation isn’t just about adopting new tools, but also about knowing how to support people and how to build organisations capable of adapting to change”.
In this regard, Alonso notes that “talent is one of the main assets of any business and, in an increasingly digital landscape, we need new ways of attracting, developing and retaining it”. “From the Cabildo, we want to create spaces for knowledge-sharing and networking that allow our business community to anticipate these changes and find solutions suited to their reality,” she adds.
A programme focused on people and businesses
The event will begin at 9.30am with an official welcome, followed by various talks focusing on talent, leadership and new strategies for attracting and developing professionals in an increasingly digital environment. The programme will also cover training and the digital skills businesses need, as well as the state of the labour market in Fuerteventura.
The session will close with an open discussion and Q&A, followed by a Networking Coffee at 11.00am, giving businesses, professionals and participants the chance to share experiences and forge new connections.
The Tech Breakfasts are part of the Cabildo’s commitment to bringing digital knowledge and tools closer to Fuerteventura’s business community. In previous editions, the initiative has addressed issues of particular interest to freelancers and small businesses, such as adapting to new regulatory requirements and the opportunities offered by technological solutions to improve business management.
The activity is being run in collaboration with Semilla, Nuevas Tecnologías and the Fondo de Desarrollo de Canarias (FDCAN), and is open to professionals and businesses interested in learning about the latest trends in talent management and digital transformation.
