111 senior citizens will enjoy a cruise organised by the Senior Citizens’ Association, under an agreement with Antigua Town Council
Mayor Juan Cabrera has announced that the Mediterranean voyage will take place from 7 to 15 November, backed by a grant of €70,000.
Antigua Town Council has announced that a total of 111 people will enjoy the trip organised by the Antigua Senior Citizens’ Association, under an agreement with the local council that includes a grant of €70,000. The Mediterranean cruise will run from 7 to 15 November.
Mayor Juan Cabrera notes that significant improvements have been secured for this trip: “that all the senior citizens have a balcony in their cabins, that three medical staff travel alongside the four support carers, and that they enjoy five excursions suited to their age.”
“We must thank the entire team led by the Councillor for Social Services and the president of the Antigua Senior Citizens’ Association, Juan José Soto, for making sure everything runs perfectly, and for their full cooperation in ensuring the greatest possible transparency and quality,” says Mayor Juan Cabrera.
The Councillor for Social Services at Antigua Town Council, Sofía Alves, explains that “several information meetings have been held, registration opened last week, and in the end the trip will bring together 111 senior citizens from Antigua.” Alves adds that participants can choose the trip with or without excursions, for their convenience.
“We are delighted with the professionalism shown by the organisers, who have taken care of every detail of the transfers so that our senior citizens can travel with peace of mind and simply focus on enjoying themselves,” concludes Mayor Juan Cabrera.
