The Cabildo de Fuerteventura’s Department of Culture continues to expand its programme with offerings that bring audiences different stage formats and well-known names from the national scene. As part of this effort, actors Candela Peña and Secun de la Rosa are coming to the island with ‘Precipicio y parapente’, a show that combines comedy, improvisation and live conversation.
The performance will take place on 11 September at 8.30pm at the Auditorio Insular in Puerto del Rosario, where both performers will share stories, memories and anecdotes from their professional careers in film, television and theatre.
‘Precipicio y parapente’ departs from conventional stage formats to offer a direct, close encounter with the audience. Candela Peña and Secun de la Rosa sit facing the audience to talk freely, share experiences and address, with humour and irony, matters relating to their profession and to life itself.
One of the defining features of the show is precisely its improvised nature. During the performance, audience members will be able to take part by asking the performers questions, leading to spontaneous exchanges and moments that make every show different.
With extensive careers in film, television and theatre, Candela Peña and Secun de la Rosa have built some of the most recognisable names in Spanish acting. Their rapport, born of years of friendship and shared professional life, is one of the main draws of a show designed to offer a close, unpredictable and thoroughly humorous experience.
The Fuerteventura performance is part of the tour that ‘Precipicio y parapente’ will make across the Canary Islands throughout September, and will be the first stop on a run that will continue afterwards in Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
