RED IMPULSA FTV begins its second phase, offering SMEs, shops and self-employed workers a digital diagnosis, a personalised roadmap and support to implement digital solutions
The Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through the Department of New Technologies led by Carmen Alonso, has opened the registration period for up to 100 SMEs, shops, self-employed workers and businesses on the island to take part in RED IMPULSA FTV and receive personalised support to advance their digital transformation processes.
Registration opens following the programme’s official launch last week, which drew strong interest and participation. The future digital facilitators are currently in their training phase, acquiring knowledge on artificial intelligence, digital tools, social media, and business digitalisation diagnosis and planning. The programme began with almost thirty facilitators from the north, centre and south of the island.
The Minister for New Technologies, Carmen Alonso, says that “after training the people who will act as digital facilitators, we reach one of the most important moments of RED IMPULSA: passing all that knowledge directly on to Fuerteventura’s businesses”.
“We want any small business that often knows it needs to digitalise but doesn’t know where to start to find in RED IMPULSA close, practical support,” Alonso explains.
From diagnosis to implementation
Businesses joining RED IMPULSA will start with a Digital Diagnosis, which will provide an overview of their current situation and identify their main needs and opportunities for improvement.
Based on this analysis, an Individualised Digitalisation Plan will be drawn up, designed as a roadmap tailored to each business’s circumstances, setting out short- and medium-term priorities and solutions.
Support will not end once the diagnosis or plan has been drawn up. One of the distinctive features of RED IMPULSA will be precisely to help businesses move forward with implementing specific digital solutions tailored to their needs.
Among other areas, the programme may address tools related to artificial intelligence, social media, digital presence, Google Business Profile, WhatsApp Business, digital marketing, productivity, automation, organisation and customer service.
“We don’t want to hand businesses a document and tell them what they should do. We want to support them so they take real steps in their digitalisation and ensure the tools they adopt are genuinely useful in their day-to-day operations,” says Carmen Alonso.
Up to 100 businesses from across Fuerteventura
RED IMPULSA FTV is aimed at SMEs, shops, self-employed workers and businesses in Fuerteventura, regardless of their current level of digitalisation.
Participation will be completely free, and businesses will be taken on in order of registration up to a maximum of 100 participants.
Once an application has been submitted, a RED IMPULSA technician will contact each business to explain how the programme works, assess their needs and begin the support process.

The minister encourages majorero businesses to make the most of this opportunity: “Digital transformation doesn’t have to mean major investment or complex solutions. Often, small changes and well-chosen tools can significantly improve organisation, customer relations or business promotion. We want to help our businesses identify these opportunities and put them into practice.”
A network connecting training and business
RED IMPULSA FTV uses a methodology based on learning by doing. Facilitators first receive specialised training and then pass that knowledge on to real businesses in Fuerteventura, always with the support of the programme’s technical and coordination team.
In this way, the initiative pursues a dual objective: improving the digital skills of participants and directly contributing to the digitalisation and competitiveness of the island’s business community. This combination of training and practical application within businesses is central to the programme’s design, as presented by the Cabildo.
RED IMPULSA FTV is an initiative driven by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura’s Department of New Technologies, with funding from the Government of the Canary Islands through the Canary Islands Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society (ACIISI).
