Las Granadas courts will be open all year round with a new Municipal Tennis and Paddle School.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, and the Councilor for Sports, Luis Chacón, have visited on Friday morning, July 25, the sports facilities of Las Granadas, one of the main enclaves where the activities of the Summer Camp and Sport 2025 are developed.
This camp, which is held between July 14 and August 30, from 07:30 to 15:15 hours, offers an educational, recreational and sporting proposal for children of the municipality, distributed in different locations of the municipality. In the case of Las Granadas, the activities are oriented to the practice of sports such as tennis and paddle, disciplines that this year take on a special role.
During their visit to the courts, the mayor and the councilman checked the good development of the sports sessions and shared impressions with the technical team in charge. They also announced the upcoming creation of the Municipal School of Tennis and Paddle Tennis, which will begin to operate throughout the year, thus expanding the stable sports offer of the municipality and consolidating the continued use of these facilities beyond the summer period.
David de Vera stressed that “the commitment to active sports infrastructure throughout the year is a priority, not only to promote grassroots sports, but also to promote healthy habits and strengthen the role of sport as an educational tool”.
For his part, Luis Chacón added that “the launching of the municipal school responds to a growing demand and to the will of the City Council to offer accessible and well-managed spaces for regular sports practice”.
With this initiative, the City Council of Puerto del Rosario reaffirms its commitment to the development of local sports, the revitalization of municipal facilities and the welfare of citizens at all stages of the year.
