The action improves the accessibility of the beach and reinforces the commitment of the Consistory and the Cabildo to an inclusive coastline.

The City Council of Pájara, through the Department of Beaches, completes the installation of three new showers adapted for people with reduced mobility on the beach of Morro Jable, reaffirming its commitment to inclusion and universal access to the coast of the municipality.

The showers have been supplied by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, as part of its collaboration with the Consistory to promote more accessible and inclusive environments.

The councilman of Beaches, Raimundo Dacosta, emphasizes that “this initiative reflects our desire that all people, regardless of their abilities, can enjoy our beaches in decent and comfortable conditions”. He also adds that “we will continue to incorporate improvements so that the municipality’s coastline responds to the needs of those who visit and live there every day”.

These new facilities, distributed in strategic points of the beach, are designed to offer a comfortable and safe use for people with functional diversity. This intervention is part of the municipal coastal infrastructure improvement plan, which focuses on accessibility as a key element of a more equitable and sustainable tourism model.
