The facilities of Suministros de Agua La Oliva opened their doors yesterday, May 21, to present the operation and results of the Salosa plant in collaboration with Veolia and Danfoss. Thus, the public capital company, showed the work methodology and actions carried out during the last years to achieve energy efficiency. In this sense, the multinationals were in charge of giving details about the procedures followed in the plant.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, said: “The work of Santana and his team is a reflection of what Suministros de Agua La Oliva has achieved today. Undoubtedly, this plant demonstrates how the joint work between public administrations and specialized companies can achieve positive results for all the neighbors of the municipality.”
For his part, the president of Salosa and deputy mayor, Julio Santana, pointed out that: “This day serves to inform the public about the work we do at the plant on a daily basis and how this work has a visible result in terms of efficiency and innovation in the service offered. It is also worth remembering that on May 27 we will carry out a technical shutdown in order to clean the water tanks, thus following the sanitary and safety measures required by the Government. We apologize to the users who may be affected and we insist once again on the importance of having reserve tanks for those homes or establishments supplied by Suministros de Agua La Oliva, in order to guarantee a minimum autonomy of 48 hours.”
Finally, Danfoss strategy manager, Francisco Jiménez Castellanos, says: “Through this meeting we have been able to explain, in broad terms, how the plant works, while at the same time explaining the results achieved. Together with Veolia we have managed to achieve energy efficiency of around 400,000 euros per year.”
This action responds to the local government’s commitment to promote innovation and resource efficiency in the municipality.
