The Councillor for Culture, Raquel Acosta, explained that this year’s line-up will include the folklore associations Los Cebolleros and Eramo Hernández, from Gran Canaria; the folklore association Alfaguara, from La Palma; and the cultural association Parranda La Sebada, from the municipality itself.
Meanwhile, the mayor, Alejandro Jorge, invited residents and visitors to take part in the event and, on behalf of the governing group, congratulated Parranda La Sebada for the work they have been doing for popular music over so many years.
At the end of the event, a tribute will be paid to Salome Sánchez Cabrera for her career and dedication as a businesswoman, to timple player Fernando Acosta Francés, and to the Majorera Association for Mental Health (ASOMASAMEN) for its work supporting families across Fuerteventura.
