Fuerteventura Film Commission has started a
new course in advanced animation, organized by the Sociocultural Association
Omotenashi. Fifteen people are already receiving this training at the School
Maxocrearte, in Puerto del Rosario, with the aim of improving their
knowledge in animation, covering 2D, 3D techniques and the use of
artificial intelligence.
With a duration of six months, among the
contents that stand out, you can find lessons on the 12 laws of
animation, basic modeling, character creation, drawing, script, composition
of scenes and other related disciplines.
The teaching team in charge of the course is
formed by Tenesor Cruz Niesvaara and Robin Socorro Erikson, both with a
extensive experience in the audiovisual arts. Cruz has been awarded for
Best Direction in CineMadrid, in addition to participating in projects such as Crayola or Unos Brackets para Cleo, the latter being a series of Spanish Television
and can be seen on HBO. As for Socorro, his participation in the pilot Pink Noise
and his experience in advanced animation techniques
stands out.
The counselor of Fuerteventura Film Commission,
Nereida Calero, highlights the value of a training course “which is an opportunity for
participants to improve their professional profiles in high demand
, free of charge, thanks to the collaboration between Fuerteventura
Film Commission and the Sociocultural Association Omotenashi”.
Among the objectives sought with the
course we can highlight the introduction of anime style animation techniques,
the incorporation of AI in animation to explore how this technology can
optimize and enrich the creative processes or training in the use of
Blender for 2D and 3D animation.
To enhance the training there will be the
participation of professional guest artists from the sector who will give
talks and pose useful exercises so that students can
develop a final demo reel where they can demonstrate everything they have learned.
