The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Festivities, announces the opening of the registration period for the VII Edition of the Festival de la Canción de Puerto del Rosario, an event that has established itself as one of the great musical and festive events of the municipality.
Those interested in participating can formalize their registration from July 21 to August 3 through the event’s official website: www.lanuevasaga.com. The festival will take place on September 28, and promises to be an evening full of emotion, talent and good music.
The contest includes two participation modalities -Adultand Junior-and offers an attractive prize distribution:
- First Prize: 1.000 €.
- Second Prize: 500 €

As in previous editions, participants will be accompanied live by the band Son de Aquí y Allá, a distinctive element that adds scenic and musical value to the show and makes this experience a unique platform for the discovery and promotion of local talent.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, has underlined the relevance of the event: “this festival is not only an expression of the musical talent that flourishes on our island, but also an opportunity to celebrate creativity, artistic passion and the union of our community around music”.
For her part, the Councillor for Festivities, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, has invited the public to join this experience: “from the City Council we continue to promote initiatives that give voice to our artists. The Song Festival is a space for inter-generational encounters and a showcase of illusion, effort and shared art”.
As a great novelty, this edition will feature the participation of a guest artist, who will be responsible for closing the festival with a very special performance, thus putting the finishing touch to a night that promises to be unforgettable.
Organized by the Department of Festivities of the City of Puerto del Rosario, the Festival de la Canción reaffirms its commitment to promoting culture, music and talent in the municipality and throughout Fuerteventura.
