A musical trio made up of Alberto González (timple), Gabriel Rodríguez (flute) and Manuel Cerpa (guitar). The Trío de Raíz project honours Canarian folklore as the root and anchor of the timple. From that tradition, it opens up to new sonic territory, keeping the strumming style and heritage as a foundation for dialogue with other musical languages. The trio seeks to bring Canarian folklore closer to an international genre with very similar roots: flamenco. Flamenco guitar brings both tradition and renewal, forming part of a repertoire that reinterprets flamenco styles within this instrumental format.
