A violin without limits, a band without borders.
The violin has proved itself capable of adapting and reinventing itself throughout history. From Baroque salons to rock stages, its voice has transcended genres and eras. Ananda (The Violin Band) takes that versatility and projects it towards a new horizon, exploring its potential within a modern line-up alongside keyboard, guitar, bass and drums.
Led by Rubén Sánchez, concertmaster of the Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra, this project is defined by its eclecticism, with the violin exploring new sonic territory. Versatility is the essence of Ananda, and its repertoire proves it: from the romantic depth of Brahms or the rhythmic force of Shostakovich, to the iconic energy of Nirvana, the majesty of Queen and the magnetism of Michael Jackson. Fusing these worlds is not a musical experiment, but a statement of intent: music knows no labels, only emotions.
In Ananda (The Violin Band), the violin is not confined to a single language, but becomes a traveller between sonic worlds. It is a bridge between the elegance of the past and the force of the present, an instrument that leads, fuses and surprises. With a vibrant staging and a sound that breaks the mould, this project invites audiences to listen with new ears and feel music without barriers.
