The municipality is committed to diversifying its offer and showcasing its natural, sporting, culinary and cultural attractions
Pájara Town Council, through its Tourism Department, is taking part in World Travel Market (WTM) 2026 in London under the promotional brand Playas de Jandía, with the aim of strengthening the municipality’s presence in international markets and establishing new opportunities for collaboration with tourism industry professionals.
The Tourism Councillor, Tina Da Silva, explains that “our presence at WTM is not simply a promotional exercise, but a commitment to Pájara’s future in tourism and the economy”. She stresses the importance of “consolidating our traditional markets, opening up new opportunities and ensuring that tourism continues to be a driver of development for the municipality”.
Meanwhile, the mayor, Alejandro Jorge, highlights that tourism carries “significant weight” in the municipality’s economy and states that “we want it to keep generating opportunities for the people who live here”.
In this regard, he points out that “being present at events like this allows us to keep working to ensure Pájara remains an attractive destination, always bearing in mind the needs of our residents”.
World Travel Market, held from 3 to 5 November, brings together companies, destinations and tour operators from around the world in London every year. The event provides an opportunity to maintain contact with the industry, learn about new demands and build on the commercial relationships that help bring visitors to the municipality.
A diverse tourism offer
Pájara’s tourism offer is not limited to sun and beaches. The municipality boasts natural spaces, sporting activities, gastronomy and traditions that allow visitors to discover other facets of the destination.
Taking part in the fair also recognises the work of local professionals and businesses, who play an essential role in the quality of tourism services and in local economic activity.
