“It’s a lovely event, both for the 150 participants and the spectators, with a great live show. Thanks must go to the organisers for putting it all together, and to the Sports Department, volunteers and the Athletics Federation for their great commitment in making sure everything went perfectly,” says the mayor.
Water, mud, foam and plenty of fun for the runners who completed five kilometres with more than 30 obstacles.
The Sports Councillor congratulated the winners and all those taking part as they crossed the finish line.
Victory in the popular mud race went to Elsa Afonso (EAMJ-Playas de Jandía) and José Hernández (Trotadunas).
At the finish, there was a round of encouraging applause for a runner who took a fall, hurt her arm and was treated by the ambulance crew during the race.
