The signature with the urban developer allows the Consistory to act legally in Esquino and to carry out improvements in basic services
The City Council of Pájara has formalized this Wednesday a historic milestone in urban management by receiving, for the first time without judicial intervention, an urbanization of the municipality in the town of Esquinzo.
The signing ceremony took place at the notary’s office in Morro Jable, and was attended by the Mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge; the First Deputy Mayor, Alexis Alonso; and the urban developer Antonio Cabrera.
This important step is the result of responsible management by the current Government Group and the climate of collaboration established with the local business community. The reception will allow the Consistory to intervene legally and technically in Esquinzo, executing investments for the improvement of the area.
The First Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Urban Planning, Alexis Alonso, highlighted the relevance of this initiative. “This will allow us to directly undertake necessary improvements, such as the renovation of street lighting, the adequacy of sidewalks, the conditioning of the sewerage network and other key actions,” he said. He also affirmed that “these are basic services that, at last, we will be able to activate from the administration for the benefit of all the neighbors”.
“From the municipal Technical Office we continue to work intensively to advance in the reception of other urbanizations of the municipality, with the aim that all have adequate services and are fully integrated into the urban planning of Pájara,” he added.
For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, expressed his satisfaction after the signing. “It is a priority for this City Council to receive the urbanizations that are not yet formally integrated, and this agreement shows that it is possible to move forward without the need for legal disputes”. In addition, he thanked the predisposition of the developer, which “will allow to provide the area with the services it deserves”.
The signing of this agreement is a firm step in the roadmap of the Government Group for the regulation and improvement of the urbanizations of the municipality. The Consistory will continue working with all the agents involved to advance in the integration of residential areas that do not have the necessary municipal services.
