On Thursday, May 29, the maritime avenue of Puerto del Rosario will become the epicenter of flavor and local tradition with a new edition of “Taste Puerto del Rosario”, an initiative organized by the Department of the Primary Sector of the City of Puerto del Rosario, under the direction of Councilman David de León, and supported by Volcanic Xperience, a program belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty of the Canary Islands Government.
The event will take place from 10:00 to 13:00 hours and will serve as a prelude to the expected Baile de Taifas, to be held on Thursday afternoon at the fairgrounds of Puerto del Rosario, within the events commemorating the Day of the Canary Islands.
During the day, attendees will be able to taste some of the most representative products of the primary sector of the municipality, such as cheeses made by the cheese factory Felipa La Montañeta (Casillas del Ángel), Quesería Quesos Tetir, and Quesería La Ampuyenta, directed by Héctor Cabrera. The offer will be completed with seasoned tomatoes from the municipality, artisan bread, and for those with a sweet tooth, the typical rosquetes of the Panarte Zenón Bakery, located in Tetir.
A perfect opportunity to enjoy the authentic flavor of Puerto del Rosario in a privileged environment such as its maritime avenue, and to continue supporting local producers, authentic protagonists of the island’s gastronomic identity.
