The rings and pendants will be available during the Fiestas de La Peña at the Museos Fuerteventura space on Calle Primero de Mayo, opposite the Cabildo
To mark the Fiestas in Honour of Nuestra Señora de La Peña, the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, through its Department of Culture and Museos Fuerteventura, has unveiled a special collection of silver rings and pendants inspired by the image of the island’s patron saint.
The pieces have been handcrafted by Víctor Álamo, master silversmith at Joyería Tindaya, based on a design inspired by the image of the patron saint created and registered by the Cabildo de Fuerteventura. His work reflects a meticulous artisanal process that aims to capture in each piece not only the image of the Virgen de la Peña, but also the history, tradition and devotion that make her one of the island’s most cherished symbols. In this way, the rings and pendants bring together craftsmanship, heritage and majorero identity in a design full of meaning.
The President of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Lola García, stressed that “La Peña is part of our identity and of the memory of generations of majoreros and majoreras. This collection allows people to carry with them a small symbol of that tradition and of the special bond we have with our patron saint”.
For his part, the Councillor for Culture, Rayco León, noted that “with this initiative we are bringing our heritage closer to the public through craftsmanship and contemporary design. It is a different way of keeping alive a symbol so deeply rooted in our culture and of continuing to find new ways of engaging with our heritage”.
Both the rings and the pendants have been designed as more than mere ornamental pieces; they offer a way of carrying a symbol of the island with you and keeping alive the connection with its roots and traditions. It is a proposal that combines majorero identity with contemporary craftsmanship, turning the image of the Virgen de la Peña into a piece of jewellery with strong symbolic value.
The collection will initially be produced in a limited run of rings and pendants. This first production run marks the launch of the initiative and is not a one-off edition, as further batches are planned once the initial units sell out, so that more people can acquire the pieces.

The rings and pendants will be available at the Museos Fuerteventura space on Calle Primero de Mayo, opposite the Cabildo, from 10.00am to 2.00pm. The pieces can only be purchased by card payment.
With this initiative, Museos Fuerteventura offers a new way of bringing heritage closer to the public, turning one of the most representative symbols of majorero tradition into a handcrafted piece designed to be worn every day or kept as a special memento of the Fiestas de La Peña.
It is a collection that seeks to turn majorero devotion and tradition into a piece of jewellery, keeping alive, through craftsmanship, the bond with one of Fuerteventura’s most beloved symbols.
