The 25 young beneficiaries of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura’s language immersion scholarship programme received their diplomas at a ceremony held at the Centro Insular de Juventud (Island Youth Centre). The scholarships, awarded by the Department of Education headed by Adargoma Hernández, offer a unique opportunity to further their education, improve their level of English and gain international experience that supports their academic and personal development.
The programme includes a preparatory phase, training activities and a stay in Ireland, where students strengthen their English skills through classes, living with host families, and cultural and sporting activities.
The island authority highlighted its commitment to education and opportunities for young people, backing programmes that open doors for them, allowing them to further their studies, discover other cultures and return to Fuerteventura with new tools to build their future.
