Antigua announces Rabies Vaccination and Identification Campaign
– The Identification and Vaccination Campaign is being carried out in six different towns in order to bring the campaign closer to all the neighbors of the Municipality.
The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Health announces the dates and locations where the Anti-Rabies Identification and Vaccination Campaign 2025 will take place during the months of April and May, announces the mayor, Matías Peña García.
A campaign that we organize every year with two main objectives, to identify all dogs in the municipality of Antigua and facilitate rabies vaccination, says the mayor.
In this sense, the councilor of Health, Lucila G. Ruiz Gutierrez, recalls that in this Municipal Campaign low costs are sought in order to facilitate to all owners the obligation to vaccinate and identify the animals, establishing 15 euros for Identification and 5 euros for Vaccination, to be paid at the same time of the action.
The Municipal Campaign of Identification and Rabies Vaccination begins on Saturday, April 26th in the morning, from 09:00 to 13:00 hours at the Rural School of Triquivijate, the same day in the afternoon, from 16:00 to 20:00 hours at the cultural center of Agua de Bueyes.
On Saturday, May 3, it continues in the cultural centers of Caleta de Fuste in the morning and Los Alares in the afternoon, ending on May 10, in the Peach Tree Rural School in Antigua in the morning and in the cultural center of Casillas de Morales in the afternoon.
The campaign is aimed only at animals registered in the municipality of Antigua or whose owners are registered in the same, and reminds the councilor, Ruiz Gutiérrez, that vaccination and identification of dogs is mandatory as established by State regulations and the Municipal Ordinance.
