In the afternoon hours of Tuesday, April 15, 2025, notice was received at the Headquarters of the Local Police of Puerto del Rosario from the CECOE 112 Room, alerting of an assault on a woman by her partner in a house in the urbanization “Los Rosales” of Puerto del Rosario.
The acting agents of the Local Police of Puerto del Rosario, on the scene, could see how the victim, a 38 year old woman, had several cuts on her body, with bleeding wounds, being assisted by those involved while activating the ambulance service of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), going to the scene, attending and transferring the victim to the emergency department of the General Hospital of Fuerteventura where she was admitted to be treated for injuries that her partner had caused her with a knife.
The alleged perpetrator who was in the family home, a 41 year old man, was arrested by the Local Police officers, being at the disposal of the Judicial Authority for the commission of an alleged crime of Gender Violence in the family environment, also locating the knife with which he caused the injuries to his partner, which was delivered along with the appropriate proceedings for the facts to the Court of Puerto del Rosario.
