The program includes a weekend full of tradition, music and popular activities from June 13 to 15.
The City Council of Pájara presents the Fiestas in honor of San Juan 2025, to be held in Cofete from June 13 to 15, with a program full of traditional activities, music, humor and popular culture aimed at all audiences.
The celebrations will begin on Friday, June 13 from 10:00 am with the opening of the Exhibition Hall. That same day, at 9:30 p.m., the opening speech will be given by Juana Viera Saavedra and Francisco Pérez Saavedra. Then, at 10:00 p.m., music will take center stage with the VII Encuentro de Solistas Narciso Rodríguez, accompanied by the parranda Amigos Parranderos de Tenerife and an outstanding cast of performers.
The councilman of Festivities, Juan José Viera, states that “these festivities are an expression of our traditions”. In addition, he highlights the commitment of the City Council with the promotion of popular culture. “We have worked to offer a diverse program, designed for all audiences and rooted in the identity of Cofete. We invite citizens to join us and enjoy the festivities in a unique place”.
Also, the councilman wanted to thank the festival committee “for their commitment, dedication and effort to make possible the celebration of these festivities so significant for our town”.
Throughout the weekend there will be a varied program that will include popular games, snacks, canary ball tournament, podenco race, clay pigeon shooting, verbenas, pilgrimage, among other activities.
The night of Saturday 14 at 24:00 hours will be marked by the traditional bonfire of San Juan and the fireworks display in honor of the patron saint.
On Sunday 15, at 13:30 hours, the mass and subsequent procession in honor of San Juan will be held, accompanied by the Municipal Band, thus closing a weekend full of tradition and neighborhood participation.
The City Council of Pájara invites neighbors and visitors to actively participate in these festivities, which each year reaffirm the commitment to the customs and identity of our municipality.
