Companies, citizens and experts have reflected on the importance of technology in the daily challenges of society and businesses.
The Cabildo of Fuerteventura, through the area of New Technologies, directed by the councilor Carmen Alonso, has successfully held the TecnoFest Fuerteventura day. An innovative format in which business and citizens have reflected on the importance of technology in everyday challenges in business and society.
The event took place in the town of Lajares, in the municipality of La Oliva. For the councilor Carmen Alonso “it is important that citizens know the technological tools and how to channel them for the benefit of people and entities that live and work here in Fuerteventura”. “We do it by approaching technology in a close and participatory way, providing valuable ideas that benefit our economic and social fabric”. During the activity, the Councilman of Culture, David Hernández, the Councilwoman of Commerce, Alejandra Martín, and the Councilman of Tourism and Environment, David Fajardo, were present.
César García, from the consulting firm Bementory, was in charge of opening the activity, with the talk ‘We live in a changing world’, while the association My Fuerte Prod addressed the current and real problems in Fuerteventura in the commercial field.
In addition, different multidisciplinary teams, formed by people with different profiles and accompanied, worked on the real problems raised by local businesses and organizations, proposing technological solutions to respond to the challenges identified. They were accompanied by mentors and technology experts.
Carmen Alonso thanked the great involvement of the participants in an event that has combined collaborative work, workshops and presentations. A space of inspiration for the connection between local talent and the commercial fabric of the island.
