The Town Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Tourism, has been working on a Strategic Tourism Plan, which aims to establish a proper planning of the destination, for which it is essential to know the expectations and needs of all those involved directly or indirectly in the tourism sector.

This work has been carried out by the consulting firm Grupo Innovaris, a company with twenty years of experience in the sector, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development and innovation in tourist destinations, both nationally and internationally.

The Sustainable Tourism Destination Plan of Puerto del Rosario is based on the axes of governance, sustainability, accessibility, technology and innovation.

Plan features :

  • Analyzes and diagnoses the current situation of the destination.
  • Identifies strengths and weaknesses
  • Formulate a vision for the future
  • Proposes solutions to achieve objectives
  • Manages resources
  • It takes into account the sustainability of the tourism activity and of society

Tourism has been and continues to be a fundamental pillar in the economy and identity of our municipality. It provides us with opportunities for growth, employment generation and promotion of our culture and traditions. However, we are aware that, in order to maintain and enhance these benefits, it is essential to adapt to the changes and challenges of today’s global environment.

In this context, we decided to undertake the elaboration of a Strategic Tourism Plan that would allow us to draw up a clear and effective roadmap for the coming years. To this end, we have the collaboration of the Innovaris Group, who have worked closely with our community, carrying out an exhaustive analysis of our tourism reality, identifying our strengths and areas for improvement, and proposing concrete actions to achieve our objectives.

It is important to note that this plan is aligned with the guidelines established in the Sustainable Tourism Strategy 2030, promoted at the national level, which puts us in line with the current objectives and trends in the sector.

The mayor, David de Vera, expressed his “gratitude to the Innovaris Group for their professionalism and dedication in the development of this plan. Also, to all those who have participated in its development, contributing their knowledge and enthusiasm is to materialize these strategies and actions. I am convinced that, working together, we will succeed in positioning our municipality as a tourist reference, preserving our identity and guaranteeing the well-being of present and future generations”.

The Councilor for Tourism, Rosa Rodriguez, declared that ” ehis plan is not just a document; it is the result of a participatory process involving various local stakeholders, from businessmen and traders to associations and interested citizens. Their involvement has been crucial in ensuring that the proposed strategies truly reflect the needs and aspirations of our community.”
