The competition will bring together ten artists in a gala with live music and cash prizes of up to 1,000 euros.
The Department of Culture of the City Council of Pájara announces the opening of the registration period to participate in the XX Festival de la Canción Playa de la Cebada. From last Monday, May 12, until June 30, all persons over 16 years of age interested in taking part in this edition may register.
Registrations can be made by scanning the QR code on the official poster, through the link on the official social networks of the Consistory, or by sending an email to festivalcancionplayadelacebada@gmail.com.
Along with the registration, participants must send a recording of the selected song, which will serve as the basis for the selection of the ten finalists who will compete in the festival gala. It should be noted that, once registered, the songs cannot be modified.
The Councilor for Culture, Raquel Acosta, expresses her enthusiasm for this new edition. “This year we are betting on talent with more strength, incorporating, for this twentieth edition, live music, which will enrich the gala and bring a higher quality to the performances. We invite all the voices of the municipality and outside to join and show their talent on the stage of the Playa de la Cebada,” he adds.
The finalists will compete for two main prizes: a first prize endowed with a nominative check for 1,000 euros and a second prize with a nominative check for 500 euros.
