The City Council of Puerto del Rosario has successfully completed the paving and improvement of basic services on the roads of the town of Tetir, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare and safety of its neighbors.
The works carried out have led to a significant improvement in the road surface, also incorporating speed limiters at strategic points, which will allow a smoother and safer transit for both vehicles and pedestrians. Likewise, the water supply system has been renewed and optimized, in collaboration with the Fuerteventura Water Supply Consortium and the Department of Services and Local Development, also incorporating beautification elements that reinforce the identity of the environment.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, wanted to emphasize that “this action is an example of how from the City Council we work to improve the daily life of our neighbors. Tetir is a fundamental nucleus of our municipality, and these improvements not only increase its safety and accessibility, but also strengthen the rootedness and quality of life of its community.”
For her part, the Councilor for Urban Planning, Ana Hernandez, stressed that “we have approached this work with a comprehensive vision, not only renewing infrastructure, but also taking care of the environment and promoting a more comfortable and safe coexistence. The involvement of the neighbors has been key to bring it to a successful conclusion.”
The council is deeply grateful for the collaboration of the residents during the development of the works, and celebrates the result as a tangible advance towards a more livable, connected and attractive Tetir, both for the current inhabitants and for future residents and visitors.
