The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Commerce, enthusiastically announces the launch of a new edition of one of its most emblematic and awaited events: the 6th Tapas Route, to be held between July 3 and 12, 2025.
This initiative, already consolidated in the gastronomic and social calendar of the municipality, seeks to value the local culinary talent, boost the activity of bars and restaurants, and promote the use of local products as a hallmark of Majorero cuisine.
From Thursday, May 29, is officially open the registration period for all catering establishments in the municipality who wish to participate. The deadline will remain available until June 9, and the rules can already be consulted on the official website of the event: www.tapasfuerteventura.com.
With an accessible and popular format -tapa plus drink for only 3.50 euros-, the Tapas Route is presented as an unbeatable opportunity for professionals in the sector who want to publicize their gastronomic proposal, build customer loyalty and opt for attractive economic prizes, distributed as follows:
- Platinum Cap: 1,000 euros
- Gold Cap: 750 euros
- Silver Cap: 500 euros
- Bronze cap: 250 euros
One of the great hallmarks of the event is its participatory nature: it will be the public who will choose the seven finalists, through a direct voting system that will take place after tasting the tapas. For the vote to be valid, attendees must correctly complete the score card and deposit it in the official ballot boxes located at the following points:
- Citizen Attention Office (Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 14:00 h)
- Tourist Information Office on Maritime Avenue (Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 18:00 h. Saturdays from 10:00 to 13:00 h).
Voters will also be entered into a drawing for exclusive prizes as an additional incentive for their active participation in the event.
The mayor of the capital, David de Vera, highlighted the value of the initiative: “from the City Council we continue to support initiatives that strengthen our business fabric, promote local consumption and create meeting places for neighbors and visitors. The Tapas Route represents the perfect balance between economic development, cultural identity and citizen enjoyment”.
For her part, the Councilor for Commerce, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, said: “The Tapas Route is not only a gastronomic tour: it is a tribute to the daily effort of our chefs and entrepreneurs, a platform to give visibility to local products and an engine of economic revitalization for small businesses. We encourage all establishments to join this experience that year after year grows in quality and participation”.
Those interested can register through the form available on the event’s website or contact the organization directly via WhatsApp at 620 946 612 or by email at rutadelastapasdefuerteventura@gmail.com.
