230,000, the grants will cover a year and a half of activity, will speed up payments to entities and will include a new evaluation system.
The City Council of Pájara, through the Department of Sports, opens the deadline to apply for sports grants with an item of 230,000 euros, thus marking a significant reinforcement in the municipal commitment to local sport.
In this edition, the grants will cover a period of one and a half years, as an exceptional measure derived from the delay accumulated in the processing of previous calls for proposals. This extension will make it possible to compensate for the delay and ensure that the entities receive the corresponding economic support.
Among the main novelties of the new ordinance, the improvement in administrative agility stands out. The entities that correctly submit the documentation and have corrected possible errors will receive the subsidy without having to wait for the resolution of the rest of the applications. In addition, the funds not allocated in the initial distribution will be redistributed among the beneficiary entities, guaranteeing a fairer and more efficient use of the funds.
The councilman of Sports, José Benito Alonso, highlights the coordination and joint work between the administration and the clubs. “This is the largest sports subsidy in the history of the municipality, both in endowment and in eligible period. With this period of a year and a half we respond to the delay accumulated in previous procedures and recognize the sustained effort of the clubs during that time,” he says.
For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, stresses the importance of this change in the municipal ordinance after 22 years without updates. “This new regulation and the proper management of the budget demonstrate our firm commitment to the clubs and the values transmitted by the practice of sports,” he remarks.
Another relevant change is the increase in the evaluation system from 15 to 25 points, which will allow for greater differentiation among the projects presented and a fairer and more proportional distribution of aid.
