Festivities in Antigua Coast in Honor of Santiago Apostle
– This weekend the Fiestas de Costa de Antigua are celebrated offering its neighbors parades of the batucada Sambukka, nine musical performances and a refreshing children’s party with foam cannon.
The City Council of Antigua from the Department of Festivities announces the beginning of the Fiestas de Costa de Antigua from Friday July 25 at 19:00 hours, waking up the streets to the rhythm of the percussion of the Batucada Sambukka, announcing a program, until Sunday 27 in the afternoon, of musical performances, concerts and refreshing children’s party.
This Friday, says the councilman of Festivities, Pedro M. Armas Martin, begin the festivities in honor of St. James the Apostle, following the parade, the performances of Kevin Archer and Laly Lean.
On Saturday 26 and from 12:00 hours the flamenco pop of Sergio Jimenez, followed by the outstanding concert of the popular group Aseres at 14:00 hours. The festive program includes, explains the councilman, nine musical concerts with different musical rhythms to suit the tastes of all attendees.
The concert of Aseres will be followed this Saturday at 16:00 hours, Jarana, at 18:00 hours Joni Telde, and at 20:00 hours the well-known group Siroko, and adds Armas, and to close the night Laly Lean.
On Sunday morning 27th the party is dedicated to the little ones with a fun and refreshing Children’s Party with the claimed Foam Cannon, while on stage, the DJ Pepe Gueta will set the musical rhythm and say goodbye to the Fiestas de Costa de Antigua until 18:00 hours.
Mayor Matias Peña, recalls that these are parties to enjoy and do it responsibly, a party for young people and for all ages in which groups of friends and families share and enjoy spaces.
