International masters will give the training in the sports pavilion of Gran Tarajal, in an event that is also a charity event in favor of Asociación Majoreros Solidarios.V
Dojo Guaboren will carry out the VI edition of the Women’s Self Defense Seminar, with the help of the City Council of Tuineje and with the collaboration of the Department of Sports of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura and Playitas Resort as main sponsor. The seminar will be held at the sports hall of Gran Tarajal, on Saturday, November 15, from 09.00 to 14.00 hours.
As for the team in charge of training, international masters will be present: senseis Alex Alonso, insular delegate of Karate Kano Ryu; Massimiliano Vona, national director of traditional karate of the National Federation of Jujitsu and DD. AA; and Martin Gonzalez, international master of martial arts and doctor in sports medicine, safety and law.
The Councilor for Sports, Luis González, thanked Guaboren for “continuing to give impetus to an event that uses sport as a transforming element of society and that receives support from the aid program for island sport of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura”.
The Councillor for Sports, Dulce García, showed the willingness of the City Council of Tuineje to always bet on the Dojo Guaboren for the development of such events. For his part, the Councillor for Social Services, Pedro Rodriguez, stressed the solidarity nature of the seminar in favor of the most vulnerable people of Fuerteventura. The presentation was also attended by the Councilor for Local Development of Antigua, Victoria Cerdeña.
More than 650 women have already participated in the different editions of the seminar. The president of Guaboren, Alexis Alonso, explained that the initiative is part of the social inclusion project Stop a La Violencia del Dojo and for the benefit of the Asociación Majoreros Solidarios in order to continue helping people who need it most, being necessary to register the donation of a kilogram of non-perishable food.
