The City Council of Puerto del Rosario, through the Department of Education, has carried out several actions to improve the sports facilities of CEIP Puerto Cabras. Among the works carried out, the integral repainting of the sports courts and the installation of a dividing fence between two of them stand out, in order to facilitate the simultaneous development of different physical activities without interference among the students.
These interventions respond to an express request of the school and are part of the commitment of the Consistory of the capital to continue investing in the improvement of school facilities in the municipality. The work will continue during the summer period, with the aim of ensuring that the facilities are in optimal conditions at the beginning of the next school year.
The mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, has stressed the importance of these actions stating that “education is one of the fundamental pillars of our government action. Therefore, we remain committed to the continuous improvement of school infrastructure, aware that an adequate environment has a direct impact on the quality of education and the welfare of students”.
For his part, the Councillor for Education, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, said that “from the Department we maintain constant contact with the management teams of schools, to respond to their needs quickly and efficiently. These works are an example of the joint work between the administration and the educational community, and we will continue in this line throughout the summer”.
With this action, the City Council of Puerto del Rosario reaffirms its commitment to public education and to the creation of safe, functional school environments that meet the needs of the children of the municipality.
