On Saturday, July 5, began the first of three trainings that will be held in different cultural centers of the municipality, aimed at training in the use of AED (semi-automatic defibrillator).
The Semiautomatic External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that analyzes a person’s heart rhythm and, if it detects an abnormality, delivers a controlled electric shock.
It is designed to be used by people without medical training, making it a lifesaver in emergencies. It is essential to have an AED in places such as gyms, offices, commercial areas and similar places.
The mayor,David de Vera, highlighted “the importance of carrying out this training among our neighbors so that they can act with guarantees if necessary”.
The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Jenifer Perez, said: “we want to thank the associations that have given their spaces, so that the residents of the municipality can continue training in this important subject for health.
The Councilor for Public Health, Rosa Rodriguez, stressed that “we will continue to train our neighbors with the aim of becoming a cardio-protected municipality and continue to carry out actions of this type”.
This first day, held at the Tesjuate Cultural Center, was attended by residents of Tesjuate, Los Llanos, El Matorral and Llanos de la Concepción.
