The City Council of La Oliva, through the Department of Local Development, led by Alexandra Martín, together with the Department of Public Health, managed by Christian Rodríguez, successfully held the ‘Food Handler Course’ on May 8 and 9. With double the number of participants compared to previous calls, the training reached a record participation. Thus, more than 40 students attended this course held at the Municipal Auditorium of Corralejo.
The mayor of La Oliva, Isaí Blanco, emphasizes: “The number of people enrolled in the course shows the growing interest in this training. There is no doubt that in our municipality the restoration represents a fundamental part of the labor market, therefore, it is essential to comply with the health and training standards required.”
For her part, the Councilor for Local Development, Alexandra Martin, says: “From the Department we continue to work with enthusiasm to promote professional growth in the area. Seeing this growing interest on the part of the population is undoubtedly a positive sign of the road that is being traveled.” In addition, the Councilor for Public Health, Christian Rodríguez, points out, “We are pleased to see the commitment of the citizens to their training and to work in accordance with the hygienic-sanitary guarantee required in the work environment.”
