Officers of the Local Police of Puerto del Rosario, at around 17:45 hours on Thursday afternoon, May 8, were alerted to an altercation between a man and a woman in the area of El Charco in Puerto del Rosario.
The people involved had apparently exchanged blows with each other, the man carrying a knife, according to the alerters, so the officers on duty immediately went to the scene, proceeding to locate and identify both people.
The agents were able to verify that the woman had bruises and cuts on her body, locating the knife carried by the man in the vicinity of Almirante Fontán Lobe street in this city.
In view of the evidence, the agents proceeded to arrest the 54-year-old male, A.T., with a long police record, mainly for crimes against property and others, who was handed over to the judicial authorities.
The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was treated by the health services for the injuries sustained.
