New Taxi Association in the Municipality, Caleta de Fuste Antigua I
– Once the Taxi Association Caleta de Fuste Antigua I is constituted, there will be two associations that formally and officially provide service in the Municipality.
– Same rights and obligations for members, owners and drivers of both Taxi Associations, in compliance with the needs of demand and municipal regulations.
The new Taxi Association Caleta de Fuste Antigua I has been presented to the mayor, Matías Peña. The Association is presented as new being its president a veteran and known face in the sector, as is Paco Vera, says the mayor during the meeting in which also participated, among other councilors, the head of Transport, Agustin G. Rodriguez, and the Deputy Chief Inspector of the Local Police of Antigua, Domingo Fránquiz.
The main objective of the Association is to improve the transportation service in the municipality, whether at stops, in hotels or by requesting the service by telephone or through the online application.
The Municipality of Antigua will hold meetings with the two official cab associations in the municipality in order to share the needs aimed at ensuring the best care, response and service to customers and neighbors who need it, says the mayor.
During the presentation of the new association different topics were discussed, among these, the Deputy Chief Inspector of the Local Police, pointed out the surveillance services especially in Caleta de Fuste, the coordination with the Guardia Civil reporting the latest actions and arrests made, as well as the location of security cameras that will increase their number and presence in cab ranks, encouraging the Deputy Chief Inspector to report, not just notify, any criminal act that is observed to be able to act on it.
The fact that there are one or more associations in the municipality does not depend on the Antigua Town Hall, and the mayor concludes, we will meet with all those that exist to push, with the different proposals that are made, towards the same objective, to strengthen, guarantee and improve the service.
