The City Council of Puerto del Rosario has successfully completed the works of paving and renovation of services in several roads in the village of Tesjuate. This action is part of the firm municipal commitment to improving the quality of life in rural areas, ensuring a safer, accessible and modern environment for all residents.

The works have included the improvement of the wearing course in several sections, the installation of speed limiters at strategic points to reinforce road safety and the renovation of the water supply system, carried out in collaboration with the Consorcio de Abastecimiento de Aguas a Fuerteventura (CAAF).

“Tesjuate had been demanding for years solutions to some roads that, in times of rain, left many families isolated. With these works we respond to a historical need, improving not only access, but also the quality of life and safety for all,” said the mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera.

The intervention has meant a significant investment for the municipality and represents a firm commitment to territorial rebalancing and social cohesion.

For her part, the Councilor for Urban Planning, Ana Hernández, stressed that “these works not only improve the present, but also prepare Tesjuate for the future, with modern, efficient infrastructures designed to last. We will continue working for a town planning that listens to the people and meets their real needs”.

The City Council is grateful for the understanding and cooperation of the residents during the development of the works, which have been carried out with the minimum possible impact on the daily life of the neighbors.

This intervention not only benefits the current inhabitants, but also makes Tesjuate a more attractive environment for future residents and visitors, consolidating its role as a living part of the municipality of Puerto del Rosario.
