The project adds to the municipal strategy that has already managed licenses for more than 60 million euros during the current term of office.

The mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, and the first deputy mayor, Alexis Alonso, positively value the investments in the improvement of the hotel complexes of the municipality.

The Pájara Governing Board this week approved a major investment of 14 million euros for the complete renovation of the Riu Calypso hotel complex, one of the emblematic establishments of the municipality, located in the area of Morro Jable. This action is a new step in the strategy being developed by the government group to modernize the hotel plant in the town.

The first deputy mayor and councilman of Works and Urbanism, Alexis Alonso, points out the relevance of this intervention as part of the transformation process that the tourism sector is undergoing in the municipality. “During this mandate we have promoted tourist reform projects that already add up to more than 60 million euros in licenses processed, which reflects the commitment of this City Council with the improvement of the destination,” he adds.

In addition, the councilman emphasizes the comprehensive work being carried out by the technical office. “This renovation not only reinforces the competitiveness of the destination, but also boosts the improvement of the urban landscape and the excellence of the services offered to our visitors, with the aim of optimizing the hotel plant without increasing land consumption.”

For his part, the mayor of Pájara, Alejandro Jorge, highlights this new economic contribution as a significant step forward in the evolution of the tourism model that is promoting the government team. “This type of interventions not only invigorate the sector, but also generate employment and attract new investments that benefit the municipality.” The mayor concludes by reaffirming that the intervention is a clear example of how “we continue to move towards a responsible tourism model, which prioritizes quality and the well-being of both residents and visitors.”

With this action, the City Council of Pájara reaffirms its commitment to a sustainable, competitive and high-level tourism sector, which seeks to maintain the balance between economic development and improvement of the urban environment.
