The City Council of Puerto del Rosario has begun work on the installation of 43 new photovoltaic streetlights<\/strong> in different rural areas of the municipality, a project that reaffirms the municipal commitment to energy transition and sustainable development in rural areas.<\/p>\n

This action has been subsidized by the Maxorata Rural Development Group<\/strong> and framed within the LEADER community initiative<\/strong>, which allows European co-financing focused on revitalizing rural areas through innovative and sustainable solutions.<\/p>\n

The mayor of the municipality, David de Vera<\/strong>, thanked the support of the RDG Maxorata, emphasizing that “this project brings clean, modern energy to our villages<\/strong>. The photovoltaic streetlights, financed through LEADER funds, are a clear example of how institutional collaboration can improve the quality of life in our rural areas.” <\/em><\/p>\n

Rigorous adjudication and comprehensive solution<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>The Councilor for Contracting, Maria Franco<\/strong>, stressed that the contract award was made through a “rigorous and transparent” process.rigorous and transparent<\/em><\/strong>” SEDANE 2000 S.L.<\/strong>, a company specialized in sustainable technological solutions, was selected. “The contract includes both the supply and installation of the streetlights, guaranteeing a comprehensive and efficient service<\/strong>. It is an example of how we apply European funds responsibly and transparently.” <\/em>he added.<\/p>\n

Efficient technology that protects the environment<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>The councilman for Services and Towns and Neighborhoods, David de Le\u00f3n<\/strong>, detailed the technical characteristics of these new luminaires: “With 2700 Kelvin color temperature<\/strong>, these streetlights not only provide the necessary illumination for rural accesses and crossings, but also reduce light pollution<\/strong>, allowing for greater protection of the night sky. This technology is aligned with the Starlight Reserve<\/strong>criteria”. <\/em><\/p>\n

Respectful design adapted to the landscape<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>For her part, the councilor of Works, Ana Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, pointed out that the selected streetlight model, called ‘Villa’,<\/strong> has proven its effectiveness in previous installations. “It is a traditional design that integrates sustainable technology and energy efficiency<\/strong>, achieving an aesthetic harmonization with the rural environment of the municipality.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Sustainable modernization with rural identity<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/strong>With this action, the City Council of Puerto del Rosario progresses in its strategy to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong> in rural areas.
