{"id":7669,"date":"2025-07-15T23:58:46","date_gmt":"2025-07-15T22:58:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informacionlocal.es\/city-hall-and-altihay-sign-agreement-to-make-visible-and-protect-lgtbi-rights\/"},"modified":"2025-07-15T23:58:46","modified_gmt":"2025-07-15T22:58:46","slug":"city-hall-and-altihay-sign-agreement-to-make-visible-and-protect-lgtbi-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informacionlocal.es\/en\/city-hall-and-altihay-sign-agreement-to-make-visible-and-protect-lgtbi-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"City Hall and ALTIHAY sign agreement to make visible and protect LGTBI+ rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>In a firm commitment to the values of equality, respect and social cohesion, the City Council of Puerto del Rosario has signed, on Monday July 14, a collaboration agreement with the Association ALTIHAY Fuerteventura, LGTBI+ Collective, for the implementation of the project &#8220;Puerto Diverso 2024&#8221;. The initiative seeks to advance in the construction of a more inclusive, plural and free of discrimination municipality. <\/p>\n<p>The main objective of the project is to raise public awareness about the reality of LGTBI+ people, making visible the affective-sexual, family and gender identity diversity, and actively contributing to the eradication of stigmas, hate speech and harassment situations that still persist in different social environments.<\/p>\n<p>During the signing of the agreement, the Mayor of Puerto del Rosario, <strong>David de Vera<\/strong>, expressed that <em>&#8220;from the City Council we understand that a democratic society cannot be built without guaranteeing the dignity and rights of all people. This project represents a step forward in our institutional work to promote real and effective equality&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For her part, the Councilor for Equality, LGTBI and Diversity, <strong>Tacoremi Guti\u00e9rrez<\/strong>, stressed that <em>&#8220;Puerto Diverso 2024 is born with the vocation to create safe, creative and transformative spaces.
