The activity will take place from July 7 to 13 and registration is open until July 7 at noon, with limited places.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

From the Department of Social Services of the City Council of P\u00e1jara, the workshop ‘Woman of the Sea’ is launched, a creative proposal framed in the Women’s Program, which encourages the participation of adult women in the municipality. <\/span><\/p>\n

This project, financed through the State Pact against Gender Violence and with the City Council’s own funds, was created with the aim of making visible and paying tribute to the fundamental role of women in the history of the municipality, especially their link to the sea. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Councilor for Social Services, Kathaisa Rodr\u00edguez, points out that “this is a creative self-exploration workshop where words and writing are used as tools for self-knowledge”. She also adds that “the proposal, with a gender perspective, seeks to resignify the personal and collective experiences of women, weaving a bridge between the body and the island”. <\/span><\/p>\n

The activity will be led by Lorena L\u00f3pez Medina, workshop instructor with experience in writing, storytelling and acting, who will guide the group throughout the creative process. <\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout five meetings to be held from July 7 to 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Casa de la Juventud in Morro Jable, the participants will collectively reflect on aspects such as identity, emotional ties and the role of women in rural and marine contexts. To close the process, the group will present a final performance on Sunday afternoon, July 13, as part of the Fiestas de Nuestra Se\u00f1ora del Carmen in Morro Jable. <\/span><\/p>\n

Women interested in participating can register by calling or sending a WhatsApp to 628 763 838, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or by writing to the email address <\/span>serviciossociales@pajara.es<\/span>. The registration period will be open until Monday, July 7 at 12:00 noon.
