{"id":5089,"date":"2025-06-06T16:18:09","date_gmt":"2025-06-06T16:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informacionlocal.es\/participation-and-innovation-by-children-go-hand-in-hand-to-improve-puerto-del-rosario\/"},"modified":"2025-06-06T16:18:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-06T16:18:09","slug":"participation-and-innovation-by-children-go-hand-in-hand-to-improve-puerto-del-rosario","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/informacionlocal.es\/en\/participation-and-innovation-by-children-go-hand-in-hand-to-improve-puerto-del-rosario\/","title":{"rendered":"Participation and innovation by children go hand in hand to improve Puerto del Rosario"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>CEIP Poeta Domingo Vel\u00e1zquez has carried out a project based on Project Based Learning (PBL) in which students in 5th and 6th grade have explored and solved various problems leading to a \u201cSmart City\u201d by applying computational thinking and using innovative tools such as Lego Spike Essential, Wedo and Makey Makey, all with an awareness of the use of recycled material in order to find sustainable solutions to environmental problems.<\/p>\n<p>The inclusion of this <strong>project with the Child Friendly City (CAI)<\/strong> has allowed the students to lead a project whose final product was presented at the Plenary of the Council of Children and Adolescents on May 20, as well as the promotion of participation and strengthening of active and committed children as people with full rights. In addition, thanks to the existence of the CAI, it has been possible to link this initiative with the political part in the knowledge of the project elaborated by the students and the delivery of proposals for a sustainable and better communicated Puerto del Rosario. <\/p>\n<p>Two innovative experiences have been carried out through home automation.
