The vice-president of the Patronato opened the fair’s institutional agenda together with the municipalities of Antigua, La Oliva and P\u00e1jara and local businesses from the sector<\/p>\n
The Fuerteventura Island Tourism Board (Patronato Insular de Turismo) began its institutional agenda today at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London with a series of bilateral meetings with tourism companies from several European source markets. The vice-president of the Patronato and the Cabildo’s Tourism Councillor, Marlene Figueroa, took part in the day’s agenda with companies including Via Sale Hungr\u00eda, TUI UK, Thalasso n\u00ba1 France, Karavel-Promovacances France and Easyjet UK.<\/p>\n
The Patronato took part in the fair under the umbrella of Turismo Islas Canarias, the institutional stand run by Promotur Canarias, alongside the tourist municipalities of Antigua, La Oliva and P\u00e1jara and local businesses from the island’s tourism sector.<\/p>\n
Fuerteventura approaches this edition of the fair with a 2026\/27 winter season that begins with 442,672 scheduled airline seats from the UK, the island’s leading source market.<\/p>\n
The Cabildo de Fuerteventura’s Tourism Councillor and vice-president of the Island Tourism Board, Marlene Figueroa, stressed that \u201cWTM allows us to sit down with those who programme and sell Fuerteventura in their markets. Comparing notes with them on winter prospects is a direct way of fine-tuning the destination’s promotion.\u201d<\/p>\n
The councillor also highlighted that \u201cwe arrive in London with more than 442,000 scheduled airline seats from the UK for this winter, a solid foundation for this week’s discussions.\u201d<\/p>\n
