The Ayuntamiento of La Oliva and the Cabildo Insular de Fuerteventura have renewed their collaboration agreement on commercial dynamisation for 2026, continuing the joint work both administrations have been carrying out to support and strengthen the municipality’s retail sector.<\/p>\n
The agreement forms part of the municipal strategy to promote trade and its main aim is to strengthen La Oliva’s open commercial areas through activities and initiatives to be carried out throughout 2026, designed to boost footfall, enhance their appeal and encourage spending at local businesses.<\/p>\n
The mayor of La Oliva, Isa\u00ed Blanco, stressed the importance of renewing the agreement once again this year: “Renewing this agreement allows us to continue supporting local trade, generating activity in La Oliva’s commercial areas and, in doing so, boosting economic activity in our municipality.”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the La Oliva Ayuntamiento’s Councillor for Commerce, Alexandra Mart\u00edn, noted: “As usual, the funding for 2026 has been allocated to boosting the Corralejo Open Commercial Area, reinforcing our support for trade. With the signing of this agreement for 2026, La Oliva Ayuntamiento and Cabildo de Fuerteventura reaffirm their joint commitment to commercial dynamisation, strengthening open commercial areas and supporting the municipality’s retail sector.”<\/p>\n
The president of Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Lola Garc\u00eda, highlighted “the Cabildo’s commitment to developing local trade as a cornerstone of the majorera economy. In this regard, cooperation between administrations is essential to bringing this type of initiative to all six municipalities of Fuerteventura.”<\/p>\n
For her part, the island’s Commerce Councillor, Lolina Negr\u00edn, explained: “Agreements relating to commerce total \u20ac63,000 this year, in addition to the funding awarded to trade associations and groups across the various municipalities, as well as the ‘Yo Compro en Fuerteventura’ campaign run in collaboration with the Federaci\u00f3n de \u00c1reas Urbanas de Canarias (FAUCA).”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
