Two festivities frame this year’s 36th Island Crafts Fair
– Between the celebration of Labor Day and Mother’s Day, the Fair celebrates the work of the artisan as a craft and points out the best way to thank the role of the Mother with a craftsmanship in noble and quality materials.
– The presence of about 200 craftsmen and craftswomen from the Canary Islands has been confirmed.
– Starts this Thursday May 1 at 18:00 pm the XXXVI Island Craft Fair Fuerteventura 2025.
Thirty-six years celebrating the Island Craft Fair and this year for the first time, is framed between two major festivities that start the month of May, Labor Day and Mother’s Day, says the mayor of Antigua, Matias Peña, something that certainly favors attendance from other islands such as Lanzarote and Gran Canaria, as well as tourists and majoreros and majoreras of all municipalities.
The mayor appreciates the support in this edition of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura from the Department of Crafts not only doubles its contribution to this major event, but advances its income to help in the important cost that finances the City of Antigua for thirty-six years.
This Thursday at 6:00 p.m. we will cut the ribbon that starts a new and exciting edition of the Insular Crafts Fair, says the Councilman of Culture, Jonathan Peña, in which we can enjoy and support with our purchases a sector that with its crafts offers us identity, vanguard and tradition.
With the volunteers of the Colectivo Mafasca Foundation, we finalize every detail to offer the best welcome to the artisans and craftsmen and to provide the greatest comfort to all attendees, and concludes the councilman, also offering an extensive program of craft workshops to learn the crafts, musical performances by folk groups from each municipality, in addition to concerts by Paco Perera, Silvestre Ramirez and the already announced, Los Gofiones.
