Tourists taste, dance and enjoy the Canary Island Traditions Show in Caleta de Fuste
– Hundreds of tourists enjoyed this Friday afternoon the Muestra de Costumbres Canarias in Caleta de Fuste.
This Friday May 23rd in the afternoon and into the evening, hundreds of tourists enjoyed the Muestra de Costumbres Canarias organized in the Plaza de El Castillo organized by the Department of Tourism of the City of Antigua.
A small market surrounded the square of El Castillo covered by a sky of umbrellas with the colors of the Canary Islands, under which the well-known Francisco the miller gave all the explanations about the origin and elaboration of gofio, delighted to give a taste of gofio sweets and pellets to those who surrounded him, some of them tasting gofio for the first time.

Among the tastings were cheese, potatoes with mojo or goat meat, which could be savored at popular tables while listening to folías, isas and Canarian dances offered by the parranda El Callao, and the folk groups of Tetir, El Rincón, or Cinco en Clave offering Timbeque.
A magnificent atmosphere that seems to have been very well received by all attendees, says the Councillor for Tourism, Kristina Rodewig, and has also had traditional games for children and a sample of the donkey and goat majorera.
