The City Council of Puerto del Rosario continues to move forward steadily in the recovery and enhancement of the Municipal Market, whose remodeling works are already in their final phase. This week, the Councilor for Commerce, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, visited the premises to supervise the state of the works.
The Municipal Market, located in the heart of the capital, aims to become a dynamic, modern and functional space that combines tradition and modernity, promoting local commerce and circular economy.
“The new market will not only be a point of sale, but a real engine of social and cultural revitalization for the municipality,” said the mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, who has positively assessed the progress of the project. “We recovered an emblematic space that had been waiting years for a transformation in line with the current needs of merchants and citizenship. We are betting on a model that puts local producers, quality restoration and gastronomic experiences with their own identity at the center.”
For its part, the Councillor for Trade, Tacoremi Gutiérrez, stressed that work is already underway on the drafting of the internal operating regulations of the market, as well as on the contractual specifications for the awarding of the stalls. “Our goal is to ensure a transparent, accessible and diverse space, where consolidated initiatives and new entrepreneurs coexist. We want the market to be a living showcase of local produce, our cuisine and everything that Puerto del Rosario has to offer,” said the mayor.
In this sense, the City Council is calling all individuals or legal entities interested in having more information about the operation -especiallythose linked to local production, catering or gastronomy- to request an informative appointment with the Department of Commerce, through the e-mail: comercio@puertodelrosario.org.
With this action, the City Council of Puerto del Rosario reiterates its commitment to sustainable economic development, the revitalization of the commercial fabric and the creation of spaces that promote coexistence, responsible consumption and cultural identity of the municipality.
