The program, which included the participation of local agents and other municipalities, provided the necessary skills for the handling of alcohol and drug testing devices.
The City Council of Pájara puts an end to the training course for the Local Police of the Canary Islands and future members of the unit, focused on the use and handling of devices for the measurement and control of alcohol and drugs.
The training, which took place over the last five days, was attended by officers from various municipalities and was designed to provide participants with the necessary skills in the criminal, procedural and technical-scientific fields, essential for the investigation of claims involving fatalities or serious injuries.
The councilman of Security and Emergency, Raimundo Dacosta, highlights in his speech the relevance of these training initiatives. “The objective of this course is to provide our agents with the necessary tools to improve security and optimize judicial procedures. This is a sign of the City Council’s ongoing commitment to the professionalization not only of the Local Police but of all security forces. In addition, with this type of training, we ensure that our security forces have the resources and knowledge necessary to provide a faster, more effective and professional response,” he emphasizes.
For his part, the first deputy mayor, Alexis Alonso, stresses the importance of training for the integral development of police work. “Not only do they acquire essential technical knowledge, but they also strengthen their ability to act effectively in complex situations,” he points out.
During the course, the participants acquired technical knowledge on the use of measuring devices, as well as skills in the preparation of reports to facilitate the investigation of legal proceedings in the event of serious accidents. The contents covered both alcohol and drug testing and the correct drafting of reports that are valid and effective in court proceedings.
